When I run the Windows for digital output and DTS in the preferences, the receiver switches to 5 channels only while the test is running. After that, the card is outputting 2 channels again. And games do not switch to 5 channels. The system works with Realtek sound card.

Of course I haven't got a clue about Creative. Using a Sound Blaster 5.1 Live and an Audigy II in other computers on top of the Xfi in my main rig. I'm not going to deny there's sometimes issues with Creative's software --nothing which can't be sorted though-- but bogging-down a company's whole line of products just because of a few software problems is typical for some people with a rather peculiar attitude. Creative even sued a guy for release a software fix.
